Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Karl Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tweedle Dee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dee is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Chumbawamba - Tubthumping. Tweedle Dee has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Karl Thomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Tweedle Dee!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dee throws a good cross that connects.
Dee shoots in looking for a takedown but Thomas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dee's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Dee takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


It looks like Tweedle Dee has been cut.
Dee loads up on a big right hand but Thomas slips the punch.
Dee lands a front kick.
Dee lands a nice looking kick to the body. Thomas takes a step back to recover.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Thomas takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Dee lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tweedle Dee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dee swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dee scores with a nice head shot.
Dee misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Dee takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Dee changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Dee throws a nice outside leg kick.
Dee cracks a nice hook into Thomas's ribs.
Thomas on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Thomas takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A solid body kick from Dee.
Thomas takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Dee thumps Thomas with a low kick.
Thomas takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Dee checks a leg kick.
Thomas wants to land a leg kick but Dee is out of range.
Dee lands a nice leg kick that just misses Thomas's sensitive parts.
Thomas is breathing heavily.
A lazy body kick from Thomas

and Dee decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Thomas's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Dee prevents Thomas from getting back to his feet.
Dee tries to free his leg and advance position but Thomas is retaining full guard.
Dee is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Thomas avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Dee sitting in guard here, content to control.
Dee lands a couple of decent looking shots.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dee is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Dee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Dee passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Dee tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Thomas is trying to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dee trying to control the position but Thomas is working away.
Dee working the ground and pound.
Thomas regains half guard.
Thomas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Dee with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Dee trying to control the action but Thomas is working from the bottom.
Thomas is trying to stand.
Thomas is not content to let Dee control the position.
Dee content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tweedle Dee.
Dee lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Thomas at a distance.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dee lands a nice looking kick to the body. Thomas takes a step back to recover.
Thomas misses with a leg kick.
Dee feints and then cracks Thomas's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Thomas down.
Dee is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Thomas rather than just go for the knockout.
Dee comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Dee dips to his left and cracks Thomas with an uppercut!
Dee is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Dee blocks a head kick by Thomas.
Dee looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Thomas will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Dee moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tweedle Dee dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Tweedle Dee's cut.
That's time! Thomas's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Thomas takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Thomas throws a low kick but Dee avoids it.
Dee jabs Thomas to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Thomas misses with a looping right.
Dee lands a slapping body shot.
Dee moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Dee lands a jab to Thomas's midsection.
A big right from Thomas misses.
Thomas tries to clinch there but Dee circles away.
Dee scores with a decent looking hook.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Thomas takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Tweedle Dee seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Dee digs a good hook to Thomas's body.
Dee thuds his shin into the meat of Thomas's side.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Thomas ducks right into an uppercut from Dee.
Thomas steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Dee. That one must have hurt.
Dee jabs Thomas to the body, keeping him at a distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dee cracks Thomas with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.


Thomas is rocked!
Dee cracks Thomas with a left hook right on the temple and Thomas goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Dee lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Thomas is OK!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tweedle Dee!
Tweedle Dee very nearly forgot to thank Syndicate Nutrition amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
