Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ladislav Kovarik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Escargesa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Escargesa comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Just click it and listen already kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ladislav Kovarik! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vincent Escargesa! The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kovarik avoids the body shot from Escargesa.
Escargesa misses with a wild body shot. Escargesa tries to clinch up. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kovarik lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Escargesa has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Escargesa and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Kovarik uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Escargesa. Kovarik throws a lazy right hand but Escargesa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kovarik throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Escargesa takes a swing at Kovarik's ribcage but misses. Escargesa avoids the body shot from Kovarik.
Kovarik shoots in and bounces Escargesa off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Escargesa lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kovarik! Escargesa working Kovarik over with strikes here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Escargesa jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kovarik is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kovarik and Escargesa has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Escargesa in side control lands a decent elbow. Escargesa throws an elbow but Kovarik slips to the side and avoids it well. Escargesa lands an elbow. Escargesa throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Kovarik tries to bench press Escargesa off him but Escargesa keeps the position. Escargesa working the ground and pound from side control. Escargesa has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kovarik is not content to let Escargesa control the position. Escargesa tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Escargesa has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kovarik wants to control but Escargesa postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kovarik is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Kovarik manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Escargesa is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Escargesa working over Kovarik with some ground and pound. Kovarik looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Kovarik is looking for a sweep. Escargesa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Escargesa wants to take a breather but Kovarik is having none of it. Kovarik wants to get back to full guard. Kovarik moves into full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Escargesa's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Kovarik keeping moving, preventing Escargesa from controlling successfully. Kovarik looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Escargesa throwing strikes but missing. Escargesa postures up in Kovarik's guard and throws a big left but Kovarik blocks it. Escargesa is looking to work some ground and pound but Kovarik has wrist control. Kovarik looking for a sweep. Not yet Kovarik, not yet. Escargesa trying to control but Kovarik is working from the bottom. Escargesa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Escargesa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Escargesa postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kovarik is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Kovarik utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kovarik looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Escargesa keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kovarik's head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Escargesa working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kovarik's head. Kovarik manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Escargesa manages to get himself to full guard.

Vincent Escargesa dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Escargesa tries to bum rush Kovarik with a series of wild strikes but Kovarik uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kovarik throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Escargesa checks a leg kick. Escargesa scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Kovarik tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Escargesa was well out of range. Poor timing from Kovarik. Escargesa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Escargesa throws a right hand that Kovarik ducks under and follows up with a left that Kovarik also avoids with ease. Escargesa is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Kovarik rather than just go for the knockout. Kovarik slips under a jab from Escargesa. Escargesa scores with the left hand. Kovarik knows he should have avoided that one. Kovarik pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Escargesa scores with the left hand. Kovarik knows he should have avoided that one. Kovarik misses with a wild body shot. Kovarik scores with a takedown into Escargesa's guard. Kovarik wants to pass the guard but Escargesa is keeping the position.

Kovarik tries to free his leg and advance position but Escargesa is retaining full guard. Escargesa is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kovarik defends well. Escargesa is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Kovarik trying to control but Escargesa is working from the bottom. Escargesa wants to sweep but no luck. Escargesa is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Escargesa controls Kovarik momentarily but Kovarik frees himself.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kovarik jabbing away but nothing is landing. Kovarik misses with an uppercut. Escargesa tries to clinch but Kovarik is having none of it. Vincent Escargesa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kovarik with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Escargesa to score with a decent uppercut. Vincent Escargesa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kovarik wants to slow Escargesa down by chopping away at his legs. Kovarik looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kovarik is working for a kimura but Escargesa is defending it quite comfortably.

Kovarik attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Kovarik throws a looping overhand right but Escargesa ducks down to avoid it. Escargesa getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Escargesa keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Escargesa wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Escargesa slips under a jab from Kovarik. Escargesa throws a hook but Kovarik blocks it. Kovarik misses with a looping right. Kovarik looks to land a left hand but Escargesa moved out of range nicely. Kovarik closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kovarik lands in his opponent's guard. Kovarik content to stall in guard here. Kovarik is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Escargesa has his foot on Kovarik's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kovarik works his way back into a safe position though. Kovarik is stalling in the full guard. Escargesa trying to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kovarik misses the jab. Kovarik scores with a hook. Vincent Escargesa seems to be getting the better of the standup. Good shot there by Escargesa. Kovarik looks to score with a jab to the body but Escargesa is just out of range. Escargesa checks the leg kick. Escargesa clinches up with Kovarik and pushes him back against the cage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Escargesa tries to throw a body punch but Kovarik avoids it by throwing Escargesa back against the cage. Kovarik prevents a body shot from Escargesa. Escargesa has had enough of the clinch but Kovarik keeps him there for the moment. Escargesa lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kovarik or not. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Escargesa lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kovarik backwards. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Escargesa lands with a short shot to the head. Kovarik is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Escargesa looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
And that's the end of the fight! Vincent Escargesa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Escargesa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
