Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Saku Bashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chung Hay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Saku Bashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chung Hay!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Steve Erwin and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hay swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bashi counters with a body kick.

Hay gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Bashi throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hay works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Hay is looking for a triangle but Bashi pushes his legs off easily.
Hay has a closed guard, preventing Bashi from standing up.
Bashi works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Bashi stalling away here and it's allowed Hay to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Chung Hay was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Bashi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Hay misses with a series of wild punches.
Bashi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hay defends it nicely.
Bashi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hay paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Bashi shoots in for a takedown but Hay shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hay misses with a series of wild punches.
Bashi shoots for a double leg takedown but Hay sprawls well. He's pushed Bashi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Bashi wants to control from the top but Hay keeps moving.

Hay working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bashi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bashi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Saku Bashi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bashi feints and then cracks Hay's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hay down.

Saku Bashi showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Bashi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
