Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boets takes a jab right on the kisser.
Laine thuds his right hand into Boets's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

It looks like Dimon Boets has been cut.
Boets shoots for a double leg takedown but Laine sprawls well. He's pushed Boets's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Boets fails with a takedown attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Laine misses with a wild body shot.
Laine misses with a straight left.
Boets takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Laine stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dimon Boets. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Boets!
Boets misses with a series of wild punches.
Laine throws a body punch but Boets moves out of range.
Boets throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

and Boets counters by moving into the clinch.

Laine pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Laine scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Laine fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Boets manages to avoid it.
Laine fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
A big right from Laine misses.
Boets misses with a takedown attempt - Laine sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Laine throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Boets is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Boets keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Boets changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Laine tries to avoid it but Boets manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Laine to the ground. Laine escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Boets shoots in for a takedown but Laine shows good takedown defense.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Laine, right into the meat.

Laine scores with a jab to the jaw.
Laine pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Laine throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Laine buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Boets doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Laine lands a nice looking kick to the body. Boets takes a step back to recover.
Laine scores with a leg kick.
Laine stuns Boets with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Laine tries a head kick but it misses.
Donk. Laine catches Boets right on the button with a cross.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Boets. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Boets shoots for a takedown but Laine saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A left lands for Laine.

Boets is rocked!

Laine lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Boets - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Laine!
