The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Salace clobbers Hardy with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Salace shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hardy tries a head kick but it misses.
Salace uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hardy.
Hardy throws a jab but it's blocked by Salace.

Hardy throws a hook to the side of Salace's head but Salace sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Horrible takedown by Salace or perhaps it was just good defense by Hardy which made him look bad.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Salace is working Hardy over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
