Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ruslan Khabiibov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruslan Khabiibov looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Ruslan Khabiibov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joe Smith!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Khabiibov manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Khabiibov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Smith thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Smith is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Smith postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Khabiibov is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Smith, into his guard.
Smith has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Khabiibov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Smith has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Khabiibov doesn't defend quickly enough and Smith has managed to lock this one up! Can Khabiibov escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Smith on a fantastic submission victory.
