Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Luana Peroba Filgueiras!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peppard gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Filgueiras makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Filgueiras looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Filgueiras sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Peppard defending well though.
Filgueiras has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Filgueiras working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Filgueiras lands with a punch from half guard.
Filgueiras wants to lay and pray for a moment but Peppard keeps working.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Filgueiras lands a nice short elbow.
Peppard is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Filgueiras wants to stand but Peppard has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Peppard makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Peppard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Filgueiras trying to control but Peppard is working from the bottom.
Filgueiras working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Peppard's head.
Filgueiras has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Peppard to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Filgueiras is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Peppard pulls down on the head and he's put Filgueiras to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). George Peppard!
