20 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Todd Nieds! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dog takes the fight into the clinch. Nieds with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Nieds digs a right hand underneath Dog's ribcage. Dog let out a lung full of air as it connected. Nieds has Dog pressed against the cage.
Dog is trying to force a seperation but Nieds has the dominant position. Nieds is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Dog is defending well for now. Nieds lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Dog backwards. Nieds holding his opponent close, against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A slow jab from Dog misses its intended target. Sloppy strikes from Dog. Those never looked like landing. Dog rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Nieds makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Dog dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Dog tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nieds was well out of range. Poor timing from Dog. Nieds throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Bull Dog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Good work by Dog as he checks the leg kick. Nieds works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Nice uppercut there from Dog. Dog cracks Nieds with a right hand to the side of the head. An inside leg kick from Nieds misses. Dog misses the body punch and Nieds counters with a low kick, right behind Dog 's knee. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nieds will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Dog fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nieds manages to avoid it. Nieds tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Nieds feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Dog's calf. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Todd Nieds dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Dog has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Dog looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Dog is looking to break free of the clinch but Nieds has double underhooks. Dog wants to get back to striking at distance but Nieds won't allow it.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Nieds. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Dog breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Nieds.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nieds lands a nice looking body kick. Nieds throws a leg kick which misses Dog's front leg but catches the back leg as Dog tries to avoid it. Dog tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Dog takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Dog takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Nieds throws a push kick but Dog slaps the foot to one side. Dog checks a low kick from Nieds. Dog is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nieds looking to land some kicks to the body here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dog missing with a left hand there. Nieds was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Nieds is looking to slow Dog down with leg kicks. Nieds defending well as Dog loads up on a big left hand. Nieds throws a right and a left that Dog avoids nicely. A telegraphed right hand from Nieds misses the target. Nieds wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Dog jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Nieds feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Dog's calf. Nieds buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Dog takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Dog takes one on the button. Nieds throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Nieds misses with a low kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nieds fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Dog. Nieds looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Good work by Dog as he checks the leg kick. Nieds fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Dog has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Nieds tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A nice inside leg kick there by Nieds. That's going to slow Dog down. Dog lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Dog won't want to take too many of those. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nieds tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Dog avoids it.

And that's the end of the fight! Todd Nieds comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Nieds has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
