The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Omppu misses with a jab, cross combination.
Omppu instigates a clinch.
Neponen tries to land knees in the clinch but Omppu avoids the damage to the body.
Neponen tries to break the clinch but Omppu is controlling the position.
Neponen looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Omppu misses with a punch to the body.
Neponen throws an elbow but it misses.
Neponen misses with a hook from the clinch.
Neponen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Neponen lands a big head kick that sends Omppu tumbling to the mat! Neponen takes a step backwards and waves Omppu back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Aatami Omppu has been cut.

Neponen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Omppu as he jumps to the side.
Omppu tries to bum rush Neponen with a series of wild strikes but Neponen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Neponen connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Neponen dodges the punch combination from Omppu.
Neponen takes one on the button.

Neponen misses with a body shot.
Aatami Omppu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Omppu throws a jab when Neponen was well out of range.
Omppu closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Neponen lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Omppu has Neponen pressed against the ropes, preventing Neponen from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

enabling Neponen to counter with a crisp jab.
Neponen tries to clinch there but Omppu circles away.
Omppu moves away from the strike by Neponen.
Omppu swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Omppu enables Neponen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Omppu manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Omppu is breathing heavily.
Neponen wants to control from the top but Omppu keeps moving.

Omppu wants to stand up but Neponen is controlling him.
Neponen slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Tommi Neponen hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Neponen scores with the left hand. Omppu knows he should have avoided that one.
Aatami Omppu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Neponen lands an overhand right.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Omppu misses with a double jab.
Omppu throws a jab when Neponen was well out of range.
Omppu missing with a left hand there. Neponen was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Omppu takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Omppu is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Neponen Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Omppu is out cold, face down on the mat!

Tommi Neponen decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
