PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tomasz Adamek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay Wilkinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adamek comes into the arena with I Am The Sword - Motorhead blaring out of the sound system. Wilkinson has chosen Overkill as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Adamek drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Wilkinson is looking for a sweep.
Wilkinson sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Adamek is working for a submission of some sort.
Wilkinson tries to roll over but Adamek keeps him under control.
Wilkinson is not content to let Adamek control the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wilkinson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Adamek defends it easily.

Wilkinson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Adamek stands and throws Wilkinson's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Adamek wants to control for a moment but Wilkinson uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Adamek's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Adamek got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wilkinson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Adamek has managed to get both his arms back between Wilkinson's legs - danger averted.

Adamek is nestled in close to Wilkinson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Adamek seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wilkinson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Adamek displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Wilkinson.
A nice inside leg kick there by Wilkinson. That's going to slow Adamek down.

Adamek shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wilkinson's guard.

Wilkinson is looking to control Adamek's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wilkinson avoid being mounted?

Adamek seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Wilkinson is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
