Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Matheus Silva and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aranda doesn't manage to clinch there - Martinez circles away.
Aranda shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Martinez throws a series of punches but Aranda moves out of range.
Martinez stuffs the takedown attempt from Aranda. Aranda gets slowly back to his feet.
Martinez dives in and scores a takedown into Aranda's guard.
Aranda throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Aranda looking to hit a scissor sweep but Martinez is one step ahead there.
Martinez is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Martinez wants to stand but Aranda has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Aranda has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Aranda is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Aranda is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Martinez has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Aranda is proving hard to escape from.
Aranda is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Aranda is striking off his back. Martinez thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.

Martinez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Aranda manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Martinez stands and throws Aranda's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aranda is breathing heavily.

Aranda tries to improve position but can't.
Martinez content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Martinez decides to stand back up.

Martinez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lauricio Aranda. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Aranda.
Martinez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Aranda.
Diego Martinez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Martinez tries to clinch but Aranda moves out of range.
Martinez rushes Aranda and presses him up against the cage.
Aranda takes a knee to the side of the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looks like Lauricio Aranda has been cut.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Aranda takes a knee to the side of the body.
Martinez unloads a knee to the mid-section. Aranda lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Aranda jumps guard but Martinez turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Martinez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Martinez lands a good knee to the midsection. Aranda won't want to take too many of those.
Martinez lands a big knee from the Thai clinch and Aranda goes down hard! The ref takes a good look at him but he's still defending himself. Martinez in side control.
Aranda is rocked!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Oh Aranda is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Martinez has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Martinez gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Martinez lands a big knee! That's hurt Aranda! Oh, he's all over the place! Martinez lands another knee that sends Aranda to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
