Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Flare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Flare will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joe Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 25 - 0, fighting out of London, John Flare! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith misses with a takedown and Flare counters with a lovely straight right hand! Smith shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Flare as he avoids it easily. Smith closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Flare quickly recovers to half guard. Smith is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Flare has managed to free his arm - good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Flare wants to get back to full guard. Smith is looking for a kimura but Flare is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Smith to get the leverage. Flare is trying to maintain the position but Smith is very close to passing his half guard. Smith is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Flare still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Flare has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Smith really is a fat lump. Flare wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Smith, who protects the arm well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Smith is looking to reverse the position. Smith is breathing heavily. Smith manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Smith actively working from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flare passes to side control. Flare looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Flare tries for a kimura but Smith is defending well. Flare is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Smith has escaped the position, nice work there. Flare wants to control but Smith is keeping him busy. Smith tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Flare wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Flare working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Smith might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Smith is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flare has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Smith is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Flare yanks on the arm and Smith is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Flare.
