The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kenway wants to clinch.
Kenway gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Welker to score an easy takedown into full guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Welker prevents Kenway from getting back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kenway is trying to escape the position but Welker is controlling the position.

Welker has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Welker has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
