Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stefan Roosmalen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erwin Hartmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hartmann comes into a darkened arena with his song building. LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Erwin Hartmann! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roosmalen is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hartmann's half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Hartmann trying to control here.
Roosmalen is looking to advance position but Hartmann won't allow it. Roosmalen is looking for a kimura but Hartmann is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Roosmalen to get the leverage. Roosmalen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hartmann, who protects the arm well. Hartmann can't do much from the bottom here. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Hartmann is trying to get back to half guard. You can see the frustration on Hartmann's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Roosmalen thows a leg kick but Hartmann checks it enabling Hartmann to counter with a crisp jab. Hartmann throws a series of punches but Roosmalen moves out of range. Hartmann on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Roosmalen is looking to chop away at Hartmann's legs. Roosmalen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hartmann circles away quickly and effectively. Hartmann throws a series of punches but Roosmalen moves out of range. Nice sprawl there from Hartmann as Roosmalen shoots in. Roosmalen throws a lazy right hand but Hartmann sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Hartmann tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hartmann wants to clinch up but Roosmalen keeps it at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Roosmalen or perhaps it was just good defense by Hartmann which made him look bad. Roosmalen keeps the fight on the outside. Roosmalen circles away from the clinch attempt and Roosmalen counters with a takedown into side control. Roosmalen throwing strikes but missing, from side control. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Sloppy strikes there by Roosmalen. This has been an exciting period of action! Roosmalen is trying to ground and pound but Hartmann uses the momentary lack of control by Roosmalen to regain half guard. Hartmann keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Hartmann wants to control the action here but instead Roosmalen manages to pass to full mount! Hartmann is trying to escape the mount.

Roosmalen is trying to control. Hartmann wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Roosmalen is taking a breather. Hartmann says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Hartmann actively working from the bottom here. Hartmann gets back to full guard.

Roosmalen swats away the attempt to clinch by Hartmann. Roosmalen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Roosmalen creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hartmann sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Roosmalen is looking to take a break and control but Hartmann is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
