Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hector Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kung Chen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chen has chosen Black Sabbath - War Pigs as his entrance music. Kung Chen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hector Alves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kung Chen!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves stuns Chen with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Alves drops his hands momentarily and Chen takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Chen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chen fails in his attempt to clinch.
Chen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Alves.
The fight stays on the outside here - Chen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Chen thows a left - swing and a miss!
Chen throws a nice outside leg kick.

Alves tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Chen swivels and escapes.

Chen closes the distance and clinches.
Chen looking to throw knees to the head but Alves is blocking nicely.
Alves tries to pull guard but Chen holds him up against the cage and eventually Alves drops back down to his feet.
Alves keeps control of Chen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chen throws an elbow but it misses.

Chen breaks from the clinch.
Alves takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Chen scores with a head kick. Alves tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

It looks like Hector Alves has been cut.

Chen clinches up against the cage.
Nice elbow from Chen.
Chen comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Chen wants to break the clinch but can't.
Chen is pressed up against the cage. Alves has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Chen down to the mat. Chen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hector Alves. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Alves closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Chen lands a brutal head kick. Alves looks out on his feet and Chen throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
