Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Morgan Trendell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffry McWild (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Morgan Trendell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeffry McWild! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A shot to the body from McWild misses and Trendell counters with a left and a right that stings McWild. McWild staying out of range there. McWild shoots in but Trendell avoids the takedown attempt easily. McWild fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Trendell has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Trendell blocks a jab. McWild shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Trendell pinned against the cage. Trendell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McWild throws a quick inside leg kick. A lazy left from Trendell finds it's target. McWild lands with a hook. Trendell tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. McWild avoids the head kick by Trendell.
That's one minute gone in the round. A solid leg kick lands there for McWild.
McWild ducks under a wild hook from Trendell. Jeffry McWild seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McWild throws a sloppy head kick and Trendell connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. McWild tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Trendell paws at him with a jab and circles away. McWild moves into the clinch. McWild misses with a punch on the inside.
McWild works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. McWild is in close to Trendell's body, working some short punches and elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Trendell utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. McWild is looking to work some ground and pound but Trendell has wrist control. Trendell trying to keep a closed guard but McWild is proving a slippery customer.
Trendell is really struggling to control McWild but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trendell preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Trendell trying to control the position.
McWild trying to control the position from guard on top but Trendell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Trendell not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Morgan Trendell just wasn't active enough. McWild lands with a nice body punch. McWild connects with a looping right hand.
McWild misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trendell takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. McWild thows a left - swing and a miss! McWild swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McWild dips to his left and cracks Trendell with an uppercut! McWild tries to clinch up but Trendell circles away and keeps his distance. Trendell takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Trendell is breathing heavily. Trendell uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McWild. McWild throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McWild connects with a leg kick. Trendell looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McWild lands with a thumping leg kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Trendell avoids the body shot from McWild.

McWild cracks Trendell with an uppercut from hell and Trendell crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of McWild's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Trendell is rocked! McWild postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Trendell covers up, he's hurt! McWild keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from McWild and the ref steps in to end the fight! McWild can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jeffry McWild! Jeffry McWild decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
