Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dante Carver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carver comes to the cage accompanied by Machine Gun - Manu Chao. Dante Carver could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jesus Mendes's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carver shoots for a double leg takedown but Mendes sprawls well. He's pushed Carver's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mendes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mendes is looking to clinch but Carver is avoiding it.

Carver tries to bum rush Mendes with a series of wild strikes but Mendes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Carver changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mendes tries to avoid it but Carver manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mendes to the ground. Mendes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jesus Mendes decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
