Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jin Makarov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Decio Dantas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jin Makarov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Decio Dantas! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Makarov tries for a takedown but Dantas circles away easily and Dantas counters with a takedown into side control. Makarov is looking for a sweep. Makarov is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Dantas is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Dantas controlling the position easily from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Makarov working to try and regain half guard.
Dantas with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dantas controlling from the full mount. Makarov is trying to stand.
Decio Dantas has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Dantas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dantas wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Makarov misses with a double jab.
Makarov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Makarov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Makarov taking a break here but Dantas is having none of it and regains half guard. Dantas manages to get to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Makarov postures up in Dantas's guard and throws a big left but Dantas blocks it. Makarov engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Dantas lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Makarov! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Decio Dantas dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Makarov tries for a takedown but Dantas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Makarov fails with a takedown attempt. Makarov explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Makarov fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jin Makarov. That's going to take a lot out of him. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Makarov. Makarov gets a takedown into half guard. Dantas controlling the position well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Makarov trying to control from Dantas's half guard. Dantas has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Decio Dantas has got the better of the ground game so far. Dantas trying to keep a closed guard but Makarov is proving a slippery customer.
Makarov not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jin Makarov has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Makarov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dantas circles away quickly and effectively. Makarov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Makarov is looking to clinch. Makarov throws a right and a left that both miss. Makarov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dantas swivels and escapes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Makarov throws a right and a left that both miss. Makarov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Dantas counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dantas is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jin Makarov will probably get the nod. That's time! Makarov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Makarov dives in and grabs Dantas's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dantas pushes down on Makarov's head and hops out. Makarov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Makarov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dantas as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jin Makarov. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Makarov throws a nice looking combination but Dantas bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Dantas stuffs the takedown. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dantas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Makarov shoots for a takedown but Dantas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Dantas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dantas wants it to stay on the feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Makarov doesn't succeed with the takedown and Dantas counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dantas. Dantas controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

We're going to have a standup here because Jin Makarov wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. No luck for Makarov with that takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dantas checks a low kick from Makarov. Makarov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dantas's waist but Dantas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Makarov off to one side. Makarov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Dantas is pressing down on Makarov's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dantas pulls Makarov in close to prevent any damage. Makarov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Makarov drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dantas dives on top into guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dantas passes Makarov's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Decio Dantas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Dantas has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
