Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kelvin Guillet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Brandao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brandao has chosen Nightmare as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kelvin Guillet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thiago Brandao! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brandao misses with a takedown attempt and Guillet counters with a nice double leg into side control. Brandao won't be happy with that. Brandao is letting Guillet control him for a moment. Guillet wants to control but Brandao is keeping him busy. Brandao tries to bench press Guillet off him but Guillet keeps the position. Guillet taking a breather here. Brandao wants to get back to his feet but Guillet drags him back down. Guillet happy to just control the position for now. Guillet working away. The referee asks Guillet politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Guillet prefers to stall for the moment though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brandao wants to get back to his feet but Guillet drags him back down. Brandao manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Guillet is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Brandao pulls his head out easily. Brandao is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Guillet still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Guillet has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Guillet trying to control the action but Brandao is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brandao tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Guillet wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. That's three minutes gone in the round. Brandao is looking to get back to his feet here but Guillet is keeping cool and he's managed to take Brandao's back. Guillet patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Guillet is riding his opponent, not letting Brandao buck him off. Guillet trying to control. Guillet is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Brandao is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Guillet is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Guillet is looking to control Brandao but Brandao is wriggling around and keeping busy. Brandao can't escape the position.
Guillet slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Kelvin Guillet just wasn't active enough. A head kick misses from Brandao. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brandao gets caught napping as Guillet dives in and scores a takedown. Brandao manages to retain guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Guillet trying to control but Brandao is working from the bottom. Brandao with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Guillet can't handle though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kelvin Guillet dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Brandao tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Guillet manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Brandao shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Guillet counters with a nice double leg into side control. Brandao won't be happy with that. Brandao wants to get back to his feet but Guillet drags him back down. Brandao is trying to control Guillet's posture but Guillet avoids it. Guillet moves into full mount! Brandao sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Brandao tries to get to full guard but Guillet has control of the leg. Guillet stalling. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Guillet prevents Brandao from improving his position. Brandao is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guillet is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Brandao defends it well. Guillet stalling. Brandao is not content to let Guillet control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Guillet is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Guillet looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Guillet is looking for a kimura but Brandao is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Guillet to get the leverage. Guillet perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Guillet tries to pass the half guard into mount. Brandao knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Guillet blocks the strikes from Brandao.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guillet passes to full mount! Guillet controlling the pace for now. Brandao is working to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Guillet controlling his opponent. Brandao sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well, if Guillet is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Brandao actively working from the bottom here. Guillet is keen to just control but Brandao is a slippery customer. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kelvin Guillet dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Guillet closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Brandao quickly recovers to half guard. Brandao wants to get back to full guard. Brandao is not content to let Guillet control the position. Kelvin Guillet overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Guillet perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Brandao looking for submissions off his back. Guillet is controlling the pace.
Brandao has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Guillet is working away from the top position though. Brandao takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

We're going to have a standup here because Kelvin Guillet wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Brandao will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kelvin Guillet. Brandao fails with the takedown and Guillet counters with a nice double leg into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Guillet trying to control the position from guard on top but Brandao is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brandao being controlled here, momentarily. Guillet wants to control from the top but Brandao keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Brandao working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Guillet.
And that's the end of the fight! Kelvin Guillet showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Guillet, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Kelvin Guillet wins by unanimous decision! Kelvin Guillet tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
