Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Will Dearborn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Spartan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dearborn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Spartan moves away.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Spartan lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Dearborn has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Dearborn and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
A left lands for Dearborn.
Spartan takes one on the button.

It looks like Leo Spartan has been cut.
Spartan pivots, looking for a leg kick but Dearborn is out of range and Spartan settles back down.
Dearborn sizes up Spartan with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Spartan on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Dearborn misses with the combination.
Spartan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dearborn slips a jab from Spartan.
Dearborn throws a leg kick which misses Spartan's front leg but catches the back leg as Spartan tries to avoid it.

Spartan tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Spartan takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Spartan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dearborn defends it nicely.

Dearborn looks to land a combination but Spartan avoids it well.
Spartan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dearborn sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Dearborn throws a leg kick which misses Spartan's front leg but catches the back leg as Spartan tries to avoid it.
Spartan misses with a low kick.
Spartan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Dearborn.

Dearborn feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Spartan's calf.

Spartan's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Spartan swings for the body but Dearborn moves out of range.
Dearborn fails to land with a series of punches.

Dearborn fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Spartan, pushing him back against the cage.
Spartan wants to break free but Dearborn has control.
Spartan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dearborn has him pressed against the cage.
Spartan is trying to break the clinch but Dearborn has him pressed against the cage.
Dearborn misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Dearborn effectively controlling the action here.
Spartan tries to circle away but Dearborn has him pinned against the cage.
Spartan has had enough of the clinch but Dearborn keeps him there for the moment.
Dearborn tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Spartan's elbow.

Dearborn lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Spartan.
Dearborn makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Dearborn tries to work over Spartan's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Spartan has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Spartan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Spartan looks to score with a jab to the body but Dearborn is just out of range.
Dearborn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dearborn wants it to stay on the feet.
Will Dearborn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leo Spartan.

Dearborn is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Spartan like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Spartan from another fist facial!
