Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Pot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatsuya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Pot might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Showering of Money. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Pot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Tatsuya Aoki! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Pot!
Pot closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Pot has clasped his hands together around Aoki's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Aoki is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Aoki is looking for a sweep. Pot is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pot prevents Aoki from improving his position. Pot is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Aoki has managed to free his arm - good work. Aoki is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Aoki makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Aoki.
That's one minute gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Aoki holds on and takes a little breather. Pot missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Pot wants to control from the top but Aoki keeps moving. Pot slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. That's two minutes gone in the round. Pot will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Aoki pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Aoki lands a jab to the nose. Pot tries to clinch but Aoki moves out of range. Pot shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Pot stuffs the takedown. Aoki takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Pot keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Aoki. Pot lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Aoki at a distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aoki misses with an uppercut. Aoki avoids a punch combination nicely.
Aoki throws a combination that misses and Pot counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Aoki misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pot stuffs the takedown. Aoki looks winded! Aoki takes one to the chin there. Danga de danga de dang - Pot scores with a four punch combination!
It looks like Tatsuya Aoki has been cut. A punch combination from Pot misses. Pot wants to clinch up but Aoki keeps it at a distance. Pot lands with a shot to the body. Aoki missing with a left hand there. Pot was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Nice defenses there by Pot. A looping hook to the body misses from Aoki. Pot does a little dance to reset his feet. Pot tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Aoki swivels and escapes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aoki fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jack Pot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tatsuya Aoki. Aoki misses with a wild body shot. Aoki misses the shot to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Aoki misses with a hook. Pot ducked under it nicely. Aoki takes a swing at Pot's ribcage but misses. Pot is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Aoki's half guard. Pot trying to pass the guard but Aoki defending well. Aoki tries to roll over but Pot keeps him under control. Aoki is looking to get back to full guard here but Pot has managed to pass to side control instead. Pot lands some shots froms side control. Aoki is looking to reverse the position.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Pot looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Pot throwing strikes but missing, from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pot tries for a kimura but Aoki is defending well. Aoki tries to buck Pot off but Pot is having none of it. Aoki manages to get back to half guard. Aoki wants to get back to his feet.
Pot trying to control from half guard but Aoki is working away. Aoki tries to kick Pot off but Pot keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Pot is keen to just control but Aoki is a slippery customer.

That's seven minutes gone in the round. Aoki looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pot is one step ahead there. Pot trying to control but Aoki is working from the bottom. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jack Pot. Aoki tries for a takedown but Pot circles away easily and Pot cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Aoki looks to land a left hand but Pot moved out of range nicely. Aoki swings widly with a right hand
and Pot counters with a three punch combo that has Aoki backing up. Aoki nods at Pot to acknowledge the strikes. Aoki swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pot lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Aoki backs up against the cage.
Aoki throws a nice looking combination but Pot bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Pot is working the combinations to good effect here. Aoki displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pot. A looping hook to the body misses from Aoki. Pot does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. A punch lands to the side of Aoki 's head but he takes it in his stride. Pot instigates a clinch. Pot looking to throw knees to the head but Aoki is blocking nicely.
Aoki is working for takedown but Pot is calmly controlling the position for now. Pot gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Aoki has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pot can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pot stands and throws Aoki's legs to the side, diving into side control. Pot is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Aoki is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Pot trying to control the action but Aoki is working from the bottom. Pot is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Aoki is trying to escape and Pot transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Aoki is forced to tap! Nice work there by Pot! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 9:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jack Pot! Jack Pot bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
