The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Holmes looking to score a takedown here. Thedore is defending well but Holmes drives through and ends up in Thedore's guard.

Holmes drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Thedore dives on top into guard.

Holmes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Holmes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Thedore wants to sweep but no luck.

Holmes drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Thedore manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Holmes has Thedore in his guard.
