Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cade McKinney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Just Michael! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McKinney shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Michael is trying to defend but McKinney finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. McKinney wants to pass to mount but Michael is defending the position. Michael trying to hold on to McKinney's head to control him but McKinney postures up.
McKinney controlling the pace. McKinney stalling away here and it's allowed Michael to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Michael keeping moving, preventing McKinney from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Michael wants to get back to his feet but McKinney is in a dominant position and won't allow it. McKinney sitting in guard here, content to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Cade McKinney just wasn't active enough. McKinney has Michael up against the cage in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. McKinney wants to take the fight to the mat but Michael manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Michael is trying to break the clinch but McKinney has him pressed against the cage. Michael breaks from the clinch.
Michael takes the fight into the clinch. Michael is trying to push McKinney away but McKinney has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Michael prevents a takedown attempt there.

McKinney tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Michael fails to land the takedown. McKinney drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Michael has momentary wrist control but McKinney slips an elbow through the middle. Michael is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. McKinney wants to pass the guard but Michael is keeping the position. McKinney is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Michael feints and as McKinney raises his hands in defense, Michael changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Michael wants to control from the top but McKinney keeps moving. There's a bit of a scramble here and now McKinney is on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cade McKinney dominated that round. That's time! McKinney's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
McKinney tries to clinch but Michael moves out of range. Michael circles away from the clinch attempt and Michael counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Cade McKinney has been cut. McKinney shoots in and gets a takedown into Michael's guard. Michael really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McKinney. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. McKinney content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. McKinney sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Michael's guard. McKinney looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Cade McKinney overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. McKinney performing his best blanket impression for a moment. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Michael wants to control but McKinney is keeping busy.

McKinney is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Michael doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time McKinney. McKinney is looking to take a break and control but Michael is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. McKinney is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Michael sees it coming and defends easily. McKinney is working for a submission of some sort.
McKinney is looking for a kimura but Michael is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for McKinney to get the leverage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McKinney gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Cade McKinney is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. McKinney shoots in looking for a takedown. Michael tries to sprawl out of it but McKinney keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Michael manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. McKinney shoots in for a takedown but Michael shows good takedown defense. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McKinney looks to throw the jab but Michael is out of range. Michael is looking to clinch. Michael decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

McKinney moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Michael wants to stand but McKinney is controlling his posture from full guard. McKinney seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cade McKinney dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Cade McKinney's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

McKinney fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Michael to the ground. McKinney is now in Michael's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. McKinney stopping the sweep attempt from Michael. Michael has a closed guard, preventing McKinney from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. McKinney passes easily into side control. Nice work. McKinney content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. McKinney decides to take the fight back to the feet.

McKinney stays in close to Michael's body and controls the position. Michael trying to keep a closed guard but McKinney is proving a slippery customer.

McKinney wants to control but Michael is keeping him busy. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Just Michael has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cade McKinney is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McKinney decides to stand up, so the ref orders Michael to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Cade McKinney showed his dominance in that final round. Well McKinney has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
