Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seth Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Gruber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Young is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Max Gruber has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gruber gets a clinch. Young is breathing heavily. Young breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Gruber shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gruber was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Gruber controlling from the full mount. Gruber gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Gruber instigates a clinch. Gruber manages to break the clinch.
Young pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gruber closes the distance and clinches. Gruber gets underhooks to prevent Young's takedown attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position. Young is pressed up against the cage. Gruber has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Young down to the mat. Young avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Gruber clinches with his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gruber decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Gruber decides to stand up. Young closes the distance but Gruber moves to the side and Gruber counters with a nice low kick that buckles Young's knee momentarily. Young gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Gruber is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Young is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Young being controlled here, momentarily. Gruber with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Gruber pushes down on Young's leg and manages to get into half guard. Gruber moves into full mount! Young won't be happy about that!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gruber controlling his opponent. Gruber stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gruber takes the fight into the clinch. Gruber breaks the clinch.
Both fighters circling a little - Gruber finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Young falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gruber counters with a nice double leg into side control. Young won't be happy with that. Gruber happy to just control the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gruber decides to take the fight back to the feet. Young throws a lazy head kick and Gruber counters with a shoot takedown. Young fights it but they end up in guard. Gruber gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Good standup being displayed there by Gruber as he connects with a hook. Gruber drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Gruber fails with the takedown. Seth Young has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Gruber. Young throws a lazy body kick and Gruber decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Young's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.Gruber passes into half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gruber has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Gruber pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gruber trying to control but he's not successful this time. Gruber wants to finish this one by submission but Young is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Gruber. Gruber is standing up, even though he is in mount. Gruber thows a body kick. Young tries to catch it but that hurt him. Gruber tries to clinch up but Young circles away and keeps his distance. Young wants to clinch but Gruber slips to the side and Gruber counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gruber. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Gruber lands a nice knee to the body. Gruber is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Young pulls him back up using the underhooks. Young drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gruber pulls his leg out and moves away.

Max Gruber dominated that round. That's time! Young's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Young looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Gruber! Max Gruber has got the better of the ground game so far. Young won't let Gruber get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Gruber sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Gruber tries to get to full guard but Young has control of the leg. Gruber is pressing down on Young's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Gruber throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Gruber has control of Young's left arm, preventing Young from doing any damage. Gruber controls Young momentarily but Young frees himself. Young looking to pass the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gruber looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gruber pulls Young in close to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gruber wants to sweep but no luck. Young tries to stand but Gruber is controlling from the bottom. Young preventing the sweep. Young wants to pass the guard but Gruber is keeping the position. Young throwing strikes but missing. Gruber wants to sweep but no luck.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Gruber looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Young is fending him off so far but Gruber persists. Nope, Young circles away and we're back to standing. Gruber drives through and clinches with Young against the cage.
Gruber escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gruber changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Young looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Gruber thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Gruber is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Young has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gruber wants to take a breather but Young manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Gruber. Gruber stays in close to Young's body and controls the position. Gruber trying to control the position from guard on top but Young is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gruber is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Gruber advances position into side control! Gruber has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Gruber stands up and beckons Young to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Young takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Young misses with a takedown attempt and Gruber counters by clinching up. Gruber pulls guard. Young wanted to stand there but Gruber had control of the position. Gruber had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Young is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gruber Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Young's back instead. Young wants to control his opponent's hands but Gruber gets his hands free. Young covers up after that shot from Gruber.
Gruber is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Young. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Gruber slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Gruber is punishing Young with strikes - can he finish him?! Oh Young is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Gruber wants to control but Young is keeping busy. Gruber has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Young defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gruber working for a choke but Young is defending well. Young seems to have got his legs back now. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Young wants to control his opponent's hands but Gruber gets his hands free. Gruber working for the choke. I really don't envy Young right now.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Young fending off the submission attempt from Gruber. cage is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Young.

Max Gruber showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gruber has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Gruber in side control, just content to control the action for now. Young is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Gruber stands up and we're back to a striking position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gruber looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gruber stays in close to Young's body and controls the position. Gruber looking to sit in guard and control but Young gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Gruber is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Gruber is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Gruber manages to escape and get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight! Max Gruber comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Gruber has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
