The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Sergei Dronov and Igor Prikhodko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim connects with a solid leg kick.
Smack takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kim throws a jab but it's blocked by Smack.
Kim throws a body punch but Smack moves out of range.
Smack looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kim is fending him off so far but Smack persists. Nope, Kim circles away and we're back to standing.

Kim shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kim was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kim creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Smack sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Kim fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Smack looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Smack walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Nice uppercut there from Kim.
A solid body kick from Kim.
Smack shoots in for a double leg but Kim sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Smack throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kim with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Kim has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Smack tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kim swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Smack takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kyun-Chul Kim seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Smack's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kim connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Smack scrambles back to his feet.

Kim lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Smack enables Kim to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Smack manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
