Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Andromedovv Splahrn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole Taggart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Andromedovv Splahrn! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cole Taggart! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Splahrn closes the distance looking to clinch and Splahrn takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Splahrn avoids the body shot from Taggart.

Taggart lands a nice leg kick that just misses Splahrn's sensitive parts. Taggart takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Splahrn tries to clinch but fails miserably and Taggart counters with a slapping leg kick. Splahrn takes a shot right to the bread basket. Nice defenses there by Splahrn. Splahrn throws a shot from downtown. Taggart moves away and avoids it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A punch combination from Splahrn misses. Splahrn misses with a right hand and Taggart counters with a lovely shot to the body. Splahrn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Taggart circles away quickly and effectively. Taggart looks to land a left hand but Splahrn moved out of range nicely. Splahrn takes one on the button.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taggart lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Splahrn at a distance.
Splahrn on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Andromedovv Splahrn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Taggart thuds a left hand into Splahrn's body. Taggart changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Taggart buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

and Taggart counters with an inside leg kick. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Taggart throws a shot from downtown. Splahrn moves away and avoids it. Taggart goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Taggart, right into the meat.
Splahrn blocks a leg kick. Splahrn wants to clinch but Taggart slips to the side and Taggart cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Taggart tries to bum rush Splahrn with a series of wild strikes but Splahrn uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Taggart scores with a shot to the body.
Splahrn displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Splahrn tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Taggart throws a quick inside leg kick. Splahrn tries to clinch but Taggart moves out of range. Splahrn lands a nice shot that snaps Taggart's head back.

and Taggart makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Taggart misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Taggart scores with a hook to the body. Splahrn takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Taggart takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Splahrn tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Taggart manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Splahrn lands a lovely overhand right. A slow jab from Taggart misses its intended target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Splahrn doesn't manage to clinch there - Taggart circles away.
Splahrn slips a jab from Taggart. Splahrn scores with a sloppy right hand. Taggart should have avoided that one. Splahrn misses with a straight right. Taggart works the jab nicely. Taggart lands with a right hand. Taggart shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Splahrn looks to throw the jab but Taggart is out of range. Nice body punch from Taggart. Taggart walks into a jab. Taggart swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Splahrn is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Taggart fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Splahrn manages to avoid it. Splahrn fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Taggart, pushing him back against the ropes. Splahrn blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Splahrn blocks a punch to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Splahrn tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Taggart blocking some punches.
Taggart has a couple of punches blocked by Splahrn.
Taggart lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Splahrn backwards. Splahrn misses with some punches.

Splahrn struggles to land a body shot inside as Taggart controls his hands.
Taggart misses with an elbow over the top. Taggart using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Splahrn has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Splahrn swings wildly with an uppercut but Taggart uses good head movement to avoid it. Splahrn blocks an uppercut.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Splahrn. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A short left from Taggart. Taggart misses with some punches.
Splahrn lands with a right to the head. A head punch on the inside from Splahrn fails to land. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cole Taggart dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and as Splahrn looks to reset his feet, Taggart counters with a string of precision punches, right on the button, sending Splahrn crashing to the canvas! Splahrn is in big trouble here! The referee has started the count but Splahrn is so wobbly that the ref has given up the count at 6 - he's called the bout off! Taggart is your winner!
