Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kari Keskisarja! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Chan! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Keskisarja rushes Chan and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Keskisarja. Chan's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Keskisarja lands a right hand. Chan tries a knee to the head but Keskisarja blocks it.
Nice body punch from Keskisarja. Keskisarja keeps control of Chan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Keskisarja connects with a knee to the head.
It looks like Paul Chan has been cut. Chan has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Keskisarja breaks from the clinch.
Keskisarja with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Keskisarja lands a jab to the nose.
Chan is rocked! Keskisarja closes the distance and catches Chan with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Chan is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Chan is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Chan is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Keskisarja takes it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Kari Keskisarja! After winning the bout, Kari Keskisarja thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
