Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Decio Dantas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Jones is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Decio Dantas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Jones! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Jones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Jones lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Jones wants to control but Dantas is keeping him busy. Jones wants to stand but Dantas has his arm trapped. Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Dantas wants to control but Jones postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Who's going to make the next move? Jones tries to advance to mount but Dantas denies him. Jones is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dantas knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Dantas dodges the ground and pound from Jones.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dantas struggling a bit here. Jones throwing shots but missing, from side control. Jones tries to score with some ground and pound. Dantas controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Jones is looking to take a break and control but Dantas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dantas managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Jones.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones throws a strike aimed at the side of Dantas's head but Dantas avoids it well. Jones wants to control but Dantas is keeping him busy. Jones goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Dantas rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Jones's guard! Nice work there by Dantas! Jones looks winded! Dantas controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Decio Dantas has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Dantas stuffs the takedown. Dantas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones. Decio Dantas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Jones. Jones shoots in for a double leg but Dantas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Jones dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Jones tries for a takedown but Dantas circles away easily and Dantas counters with a nice uppercut.
Jones is rocked! No luck with that takedown attempt from Jones. Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Decio Dantas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Jones. Jones looks for a takedown but Dantas sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dantas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones. Jones is breathing heavily. Jones fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dantas avoids it really well and circles away. Jones fails in his attempt to clinch. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dantas swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dantas's waist but Dantas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side. Jones fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Jones darts in trying to clinch and Dantas counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Dantas tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dantas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jones misses with a takedown attempt and Dantas counters with a stiff right hand. Jones is still on wobbly legs! Can Dantas finish him?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones dives in and grabs Dantas's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dantas pushes down on Jones's head and hops out. Jones tries to clinch but fails miserably and Dantas rattles Jones with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Jones tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Dantas dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Jones stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Decio Dantas!
