Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kelvin Guillet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Chen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnny Chen will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kelvin Guillet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Chen! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chen has his takedown stuffed and Guillet counters with a takedown into side control. Guillet just content to control the position. Chen gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Guillet controlling from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kelvin Guillet. Chen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Guillet circles away. Chen has his takedown stuffed and Guillet counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kelvin Guillet has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Chen. Guillet stalling. Chen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Guillet. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guillet is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Chen! Chen tries to reverse the position but Guillet maintains control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Guillet controlling the pace for now. Guillet looking to secure an arm triangle but Chen defends it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Guillet controlling from mount. Chen is controlling an arm, preventing Guillet from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Guillet controlling the pace for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chen misses with a head kick.
Chen throws a head kick but Guillet moves out of range.
Chen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Guillet slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Guillet is pushing down on Chen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Chen is fighting to maintain full guard but Guillet has managed to sneak the leg through. Still in half guard, Guillet seems content to control. Guillet tries to pass to full mount but Chen defends it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guillet seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Guillet passes into side control, despite Chen's attempt to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Chen is breathing heavily. Guillet tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Guillet content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

We're going to have a standup here because Kelvin Guillet wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Chen with a lazy takedown attempt and Guillet counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Guillet throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chen works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Guillet seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Guillet slips nicely into half guard. Guillet works his foot free and advances to mount. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Guillet controlling from the full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kelvin Guillet dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Guillet slips a jab and a cross from Chen.
Guillet decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Well, if Guillet is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Chen wants to control but Guillet is keeping busy and won't allow it. Guillet content to control rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Kelvin Guillet has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Chen misses with a head kick.
Chen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Guillet closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Chen's guard. Guillet controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Guillet has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Guillet pushing down on Chen's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Guillet is trying for a kimura here. Chen looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Guillet wins by kimura!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kelvin Guillet! In his post fight interview, Kelvin Guillet started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
