Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jamal Vazquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clark Griswold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vazquez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Kanye West feat Young Jezzy-Put On. Griswold has chosen Holiday Road as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jamal Vazquez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clark Griswold! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Roberts and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Griswold closes the distance and clinches. Griswold pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Griswold takes a swing at Vazquez's ribcage but misses. Griswold misses with a hook to the body
and Vazquez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Griswold changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vazquez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Griswold moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Clark Griswold hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Griswold is looking to clinch. Griswold fails with a takedown attempt. Clark Griswold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Griswold wants to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Griswold tries to clinch but Vazquez moves away and Vazquez counters with a lovely straight right hand! Vazquez keeps the fight on the outside.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Griswold is looking to take this fight into the clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Griswold looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Griswold fails with a takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Clark Griswold dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Griswold changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vazquez tries to avoid it but Griswold manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vazquez to the ground. Vazquez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Griswold looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Griswold seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griswold really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vazquez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Vazquez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Griswold can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Griswold is looking to pass into half guard but Vazquez pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Vazquez is in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vazquez slips nicely into half guard. Vazquez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Griswold keeps working. Griswold gets back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Griswold looking to hit a scissor sweep but Vazquez is one step ahead there. Griswold is looking to stand up but Vazquez isn't so interested in that idea. Griswold is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Griswold is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Griswold seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Clark Griswold showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Griswold has his takedown stuffed and Vazquez counters with a straight right hand. Griswold tries to clinch up but Vazquez circles away and keeps his distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Griswold ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vazquez moves away. Griswold is looking to clinch but Vazquez is avoiding it.
That's one minute gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Griswold. Vazquez does a little dance to reset his feet. Griswold fails with an attempt to clinch.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Griswold fails to land with a series of punches.
A shot to the body from Griswold misses and Vazquez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Clark Griswold is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Griswold tries to clinch up but Vazquez circles away and keeps his distance. Vazquez avoids the body shot from Griswold.

Griswold is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Griswold fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Griswold is looking to score with low kicks. Griswold wants to clinch. Griswold swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Griswold fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Vazquez to the ground. Griswold is now in Vazquez's guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Vazquez is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Jamal Vazquez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Griswold slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Clark Griswold comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Griswold has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
