Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lloyd Conan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conan connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Torres has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Torres there as he acknowledges the shot.
Nice jab there from Conan.
Torres steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Conan.
Torres moves into the clinch.
Conan breaks the clinch.
Lloyd Conan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Torres is looking to clinch but Conan is avoiding it.
Conan swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Torres takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Conan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Torres is trying to escape the position but Conan is controlling the position.
Conan decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Conan gets caught flat footed, as Torres shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Conan wants to sweep here but Torres controlling him for the moment.

Conan throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Torres postures up and lands a big shot to Conan's brow.
Conan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Torres on the ground.
Conan pushes Torres off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
No luck for Torres with that takedown attempt.
Conan fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Conan throws a right hand that Torres ducks under and follows up with a left that Torres also avoids with ease.
Torres buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Torres moves into the clinch successfully.

Conan wants to get back to striking at distance but Torres won't allow it.
Conan wants to break the clinch but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Conan gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Conan misses with a head shot. Torres uses the momentum to regain guard.
Torres wants to sweep here but Conan controlling him for the moment.
Torres is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Torres seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Conan won't allow Torres to sweep him here.

Jose Torres has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Torres gets a double leg takedown into Conan's guard.
Torres trying to control but Conan is working from the bottom.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Conan is on top in guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Torres looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Torres is looking for a triangle but Conan pushes his legs off easily.

Torres has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Conan is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Torres.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Conan is working Torres over with some ground and pound from side control.
Conan decides to stand back up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Conan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Torres, pushing him back against the cage.
Torres jumps guard but Conan stands there with Torres around his waist. Torres gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Lloyd Conan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Torres.
Torres breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Torres shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Conan is trying to defend but Torres finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Conan tries to get to full guard but Torres has control of the leg.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lloyd Conan will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Conan feints a jab promting Torres to slip. Conan then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Torres slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Jose Torres has been cut.
Torres throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Conan to counter with a crisp jab.
Conan moves in looking to clinch but Torres pushes him off.
Conan dodges the punch combination from Torres.
Conan lands a jab-cross combination.
Conan throws a combination that misses
and Torres counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Conan!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Torres trying to control the position but Conan is working away.
Conan is looking to reverse the position.
Torres wants to control but Conan is keeping him busy.
Torres has hold of Conan's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Conan tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Torres cranks the arm and Conan screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Conan, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jose Torres!
