Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Blow Jimmy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Tretiak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimmy comes into the arena with Take a lick blaring out of the sound system. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Vladimir Tretiak was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tretiak is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jimmy's half guard.
Jimmy wants to improve his position but Tretiak is controlling well.
Jimmy desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Jimmy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tretiak's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tretiak's back!
Jimmy is working the ground and pound. Can Tretiak escape?

Tretiak is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Jimmy keeps control of the position easily here as Tretiak tries to buck him off.

Jimmy is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Jimmy has the hooks in. Tretiak is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Tretiak rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Tretiak wants to improve his position but Jimmy is controlling well.

Blow Jimmy has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Jimmy misses with a series of wild punches.
Tretiak has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Tretiak there as he acknowledges the shot.
Tretiak takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
No luck for Tretiak with that takedown attempt.
Jimmy misses with an uppercut. Tretiak saw that one coming.
Blow Jimmy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jimmy tries to work over Tretiak's front leg with a kick but Tretiak checks it.
A punch lands to the side of Tretiak 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Tretiak fails with the takedown
and Jimmy counters with a crisp right that sends Tretiak to the canvas! Jimmy follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Blow Jimmy!
