Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scott Roper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy McNulty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McNulty has chosen Enter Sandman by Metallica as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scott Roper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

23 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jimmy McNulty !
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roper misses with a two punch combination.
No joy there for Roper, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
McNulty misses with a looping left.
Roper lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McNulty circles away quickly and effectively.
Roper misses the jab.
Decent striking displayed by McNulty there.
Sloppy strikes from Roper. Those never looked like landing.
Roper throws a series of punches but McNulty moves out of range.
Roper avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Roper throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
McNulty lands with a shot to the body.
Roper misses with a double jab
letting McNulty counter with a right hand.
Roper takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Roper throws a right and a left that both miss.
Roper ducks under a wild hook from McNulty .
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Roper throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and McNulty counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Roper thinking.

Roper throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Roper is breathing heavily.
Roper on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
McNulty lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Roper is rocked!
Roper swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Oh Roper is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's one minute gone in the round.
McNulty swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Roper throws a jab when McNulty was well out of range.
Roper seems to have got his legs back now.
McNulty lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
McNulty cracks the inside of Roper's front leg.
McNulty lands a nice hook to Roper's body. Roper takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Roper moves forwards but McNulty connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Roper throws a series of punches but McNulty avoids them all with ease.
McNulty lands a jab to the head.
Roper ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
McNulty circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Roper to the canvas! Roper doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - McNulty keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy McNulty !
