The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strasser throws a right hand that misses
and Zombo counters with a good low kick that Strasser was not able to check.
Strasser throws out a loose jab but Zombo uses good head movement to avoid it.
Zombo moves out of range as Strasser strikes.
Zombo wants to land a leg kick but Strasser is out of range.
Zombo throws a sloppy head kick and Strasser moves out of range easily.

Strasser on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Zombo will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Vinny Zombo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Strasser is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Strasser has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Zombo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Strasser swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Oh Strasser is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Zombo working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Zombo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Strasser. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Vinny Zombo was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Strasser takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
