Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rex Buster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tamara Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rex Buster could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tamara Silva's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tamara Silva!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Buster changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Silva looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Buster stands up and beckons Silva to his feet.
Buster has a takedown stuffed.

Buster bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Buster wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy.

Buster working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Buster has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Buster shoots in but no luck this time.
Silva lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Silva.


It looks like Rex Buster has been cut.
Silva tries a head kick but it misses.

Buster is breathing heavily.

Buster wants to advance to full mount but Silva doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Buster trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Buster postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Silva is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Buster, into his guard.

Buster working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Buster tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Silva wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Buster fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

That was a close round but I would say that Rex Buster will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Silva scores with a one two! Buster had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Buster feints and as Silva raises his hands in defense, Buster changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Buster drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Silva dives on top into guard.
Buster looking to hit a scissor sweep but Silva is one step ahead there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Buster swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Buster has an active guard here but Silva has managed to pass into half guard.
Buster is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Silva jumps into side control!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Silva is looking to take a break and control but Buster is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Buster could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Buster is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Silva has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Silva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Buster, who protects the arm well.

Buster is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Silva asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Tamara Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Buster's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Buster blocks a head kick by Silva.
Buster throws a head kick that misses.

Buster shoots in and bounces Silva off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Busteris looking to pass into half guard but Silva pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Silva is in guard.
Silva must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Buster is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Buster is tying to control. Silva wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Buster wants to pass to mount but Silva is defending the position.
Buster missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Silva keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Silva tries to work over Buster's front leg with a kick but Buster checks it.
Silva comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Silva stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Silva misses with a double jab.
Buster on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Buster wants to clinch up but Silva keeps it at a distance.
Buster fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Silva lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Buster showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Silva.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Tamara Silva.
I think Silva has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
