McAdams has chosen "An Irish Pub Song" by Rumjacks as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

McAdams misses with the combination.
McAdams tries for a takedown but Gates circles away easily

and Gates counters by clinching up.

McAdams is fighting off a takedown attempt but Gates is just too persistent for him and manages to trip McAdams to the mat. McAdams regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Gates lands a couple of elbows.
McAdams utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
McAdams can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gates controls the pace.
McAdams looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gates is one step ahead there.
Gates slips nicely into half guard.
Gates takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Gates is trying to work for a kimura but McAdams is defending well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McAdams can do anything to dispel that myth.
Gates is looking to advance position but McAdams won't allow it.

McAdams wants to sweep but Gates has passed to side control!
Gates prevents McAdams from escaping the position.

Gates is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. McAdams is trying to escape and Gates transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and McAdams is forced to tap! Nice work there by Gates! Very nice indeed!
