Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jonathon Sails (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Mckenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jonathon Sails has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jonathon Sails!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, David Mckenzie!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Sails misses.
A decent looking cross lands there for Sails.

and Mckenzie counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Mckenzie should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sails throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mckenzie.

Sails lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mckenzie circles away quickly and effectively.

Mckenzie manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sails on his heels. He'll look to pass Sails's guard now, I'm sure.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mckenzie accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Mckenzie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sails. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mckenzie is looking to sweep but instead, Sails has passed into half guard.

Mckenzie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sails looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sails is looking to regain half guard here but Mckenzie keeps moving and retains side control.
Sails parries the strikes from Mckenzie easily there. Mckenzie is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Sails to escape.
David Mckenzie has got the better of the ground game so far.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mckenzie connects with a nice short shot to Sails's temple.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mckenzie uses his free foot to push down on Sails's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sails.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

David Mckenzie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
