Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Bongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Chinaski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chinaski has chosen I Wish to Weep by Dadafon as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jimmy Bongo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Henry Chinaski!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bongo is looking to clinch.
Bongo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chinaski swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bongo tries to clinch up.

Bongo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chinaski sitting in guard here, content to control.
Chinaski tries to free his leg and advance position but Bongo is retaining full guard.
Chinaski is looking to work some ground and pound but Bongo has wrist control.
Chinaski controls from within his opponent's guard.

Bongo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Chinaski postures up in Bongo's guard and throws a big left but Bongo blocks it.
Chinaski tries to free his leg and advance position but Bongo is retaining full guard.
Chinaski controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Chinaski won't allow Bongo to get back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Bongo closes the distance and clinches up with Chinaski, looking for a takedown. Bongo pushes Chinaski against the cage but Chinaski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bongo on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

and Chinaski counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bongo won't be happy with that.
Chinaski tries to move into full mount but can't pass Bongo's legs.
Chinaski content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Chinaski takes a little break here. Bongo wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Bongo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Chinaski darts in and clinches Bongo up against the cage.
Bongo throws a knee to the head but misses.
Bongo misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Chinaski.
Chinaski prevents a takedown attempt there.

Chinaski breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Chinaski decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bongo's guard.
Chinaski stands up over Bongo, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Bongo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Chinaski is pushing down on Bongo's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bongo is fighting to maintain full guard but Chinaski has managed to sneak the leg through.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, if Chinaski is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Despite being in the dominant position, Henry Chinaski just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Chinaski counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bongo won't be happy with that.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy Bongo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Chinaski postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bongo looks a forlorn figure.

Bongo is wriggling around trying to escape.

Chinaski lands a big shot there that rocks Bongo but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Chinaski is landing with some decent strikes but Bongo is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

BOOM! Chinaski connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Bongo tries to lock up and control but Chinaski gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Henry Chinaski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Chinaski closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Jimmy Bongo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Chinaski is nestled in close to Bongo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

And that's the end of the fight!
Henry Chinaski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Chinaski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
