And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donahue with a poor takedown
and Shaw counters with a nice leg kick.
Donahue looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
A punch combination from Shaw misses.
Shaw misses with a double jab.
Shaw scores with a one two! Donahue had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Eli Donahue has been cut.

Shaw closes the distance and clinches.
Shaw lands an elbow inside.
Shaw prevents a takedown attempt there.
Shaw keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Donahue's efforts to push away.

Shaw lands a takedown into guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Shaw sitting in guard here, content to control.
Donahue really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shaw. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Shaw stands and throws Donahue's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Shaw decides to stand back up.
Donahue checks a leg kick nicely.
Shaw fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Shaw clinches with his opponent.
Shaw tries for a takedown but Donahue manages to get underhooks.

Shaw breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Shaw shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Donahue is trying to defend but Shaw finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Shaw thows a huge punch but Donahue dodges it nicely.
Shaw lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Donahue keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Shaw thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Donahue's head.
Shaw passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Donahue!
Shaw is landing with some decent strikes but Donahue is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Donahue is rocked!

Shaw cracks Donahue with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
