Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Cormeir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Drysdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cormeir comes to the cage accompanied by -N- The Bay. Robert Drysdale has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cain Cormeir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robert Drysdale! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cormeir has Drysdale up against the cage in a clinch.
Cormeir turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Drysdale tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Drysdale wants to control but Cormeir is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cormeir landing shots from mount. Cormeir connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cormeir prevents Drysdale from getting the reversal. Cormeir breaks from Drysdale's wrist control and lands an elbow. Cormeir looking to finish Drysdale with some ground and pound. This is bad for Drysdale!
Drysdale is rocked! Drysdale bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Cormeir wants to sweep but no luck. Cormeir is working hard here to advance position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drysdale wants to pass the guard but Cormeir is keeping the position. Drysdale passes Cormeir's left leg - he's now in half guard. Drysdale wants to take a breather but Cormeir is having none of it. Drysdale wants to pass to mount but Cormeir is defending the position. Drysdale missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Drysdale wants to control but Cormeir is keeping him busy. Cormeir knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Drysdale on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cormeir is controlling Drysdale's position as best he can from this difficult position. Drysdale is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cormeir sees it coming and defends easily. Cormeir regains full guard. Nicely done. Drysdale tries to free his leg and advance position but Cormeir is retaining full guard. Cormeir is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cormeir wants to free his trapped foot but Drysdale is holding on for dear life with his legs. Cormeir controlling the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cormeir connects with a nice short shot to Drysdale's temple. Cormeir prevents Drysdale from improving his position. Cormeir is controlling the pace.
Drysdale actively working from the bottom here. Drysdale tries to get to full guard but Cormeir has control of the leg. Cormeir working the head and body with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cormeir lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Drysdale is trying to get back to full guard. Drysdale slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Cormeir landing some decent shots from guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cormeir content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Drysdale not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cormeir trying to control the position from guard on top but Drysdale is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cormeir landing some decent shots from guard. Cormeir keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Drysdale's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cain Cormeir dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Cormeir shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Drysdale manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Cormeir stays in close to Drysdale's body and controls the position. Cormeir postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Cormeir tries to free his leg and advance position but Drysdale is retaining full guard. Cormeir sitting in guard, not really doing much. Drysdale working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cormeir doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cormeir manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Cormeir trying to control the position from guard on top but Drysdale is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Drysdale keeping full guard, as Cormeir tries to pass. Cormeir trying to control but Drysdale is working from the bottom. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Drysdale being controlled here, momentarily.

Cain Cormeir has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Cormeir closes this distance looking for a takedown but Drysdale circles away. Cormeir closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cormeir lands in his opponent's guard. Cormeir working some strikes from top position. Drysdale tries to land a sweep but no joy. Cormeir showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Cormeir stands up over Drysdale, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Drysdale wants to sweep here but Cormeir controlling him for the moment. Cormeir showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Cormeir controls from within his opponent's guard. Drysdale bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cormeir's guard. Drysdale drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Drysdale seems to have locked his on tight now - Cormeir screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Drysdale, as he picks up the win!
