And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lee Donghae!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Donghae or perhaps it was just good defense by Tulfo which made him look bad.

Donghae darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Donghae prevents Tulfo from standing back up.
Tulfo wants to control but Donghae is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Donghae is looking for a kimura but Tulfo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Donghae to get the leverage.

Donghae wants to stand up but Tulfo is controlling the position.

The referee asks Donghae politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Donghae prefers to stall for the moment though.
Donghae tries to advance to mount but Tulfo denies him.

Donghae is trying to get an arm triangle but Tulfo is defending well.
Tulfo looks to move to half guard but instead Donghae has passed into mount! Damn!

Donghae is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Tulfo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Donghae fails with the takedown.
Donghae checks a low kick from Tulfo.
Donghae closes the distance and clinches up with Tulfo, looking for a takedown. Donghae pushes Tulfo against the cage but Tulfo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Erwin Tulfo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Donghae.
Tulfo connects with a good right hand that stumbles Donghae. Donghae circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Donghae moves out of range of the leg kick from Tulfo.
Donghae throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tulfo's waist but Tulfo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Donghae off to one side.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Erwin Tulfo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tulfo is breathing heavily.

Donghae in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Tulfo tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Donghae!
