Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Darrian Goth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Szymon Modry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Modry has chosen Behemoth "Lucifer" as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Darrian Goth could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Szymon Modry's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Darrian Goth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Szymon Modry!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Modry does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
A solid body kick from Goth.
Goth tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Modry manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Modry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Goth's waist but Goth gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Modry off to one side.
Goth closes this distance looking for a takedown but Modry circles away.
Goth throws a nice looking combination but Modry bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Modry fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Goth looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Goth misses with a two punch combination.
Nice takedown defense from Modry. No joy for Goth on that attempt.
Modry tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Modry tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Goth manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Modry moves into range and clinches up with Goth.
Goth stops a takedown attempt from Modry.
Modry's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Goth swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Modry thows a body shot but no joy.

A frustrated look appears on Modry's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Goth's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The fight stays on the outside here - Goth looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Modry throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Modry rushes Goth and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Goth has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Modry clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Modry breaks Goth's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Modry gets to his feet - Goth follows without any prompting.
Goth shoots for a takedown but Modry saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Modry is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Goth is breathing heavily.
Modry throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Modry lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Modry keeps the fight on the outside.
Modry connects with an inside leg kick.
Goth takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Modry swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Modry throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Modry works Goth's body with a nice hook.
Modry is trying hard to land a takedown here. Goth sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Modry looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Goth scores with the left hand. Modry knows he should have avoided that one.
Modry shoots for a double leg takedown but Goth sprawls well. He's pushed Modry's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Modry is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Goth's half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Goth is looking to escape.
Modry wants to lay and pray for a moment but Goth keeps working.
Modry escapes and gets back to his feet.
Goth stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Modry.
Modry clinches with his opponent.

Modry jumps guard but Goth turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Goth pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Modry punishes Goth's body with a nice straight punch.
Goth tries to bum rush Modry with a series of wild strikes but Modry uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Modry shoots in looking for a takedown. Goth tries to sprawl out of it but Modry keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Goth manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Modry misses the shot to the body.
Modry throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Goth stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Goth gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Goth is trying to stall.
Goth jumps guard but Modry turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Szymon Modry will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Goth uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Modry.
Modry shoots in and bounces Goth off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Modry drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Modry jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Goth avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Goth is trying to hold Modry in close to prevent damage but Modry has managed to pass into half guard.

Modry decides to return to a standing position.

Goth closes the distance and clinches.
Goth pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Goth escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Szymon Modry seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Modry takes a swing at Goth's ribcage but misses.
Goth uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Modry.
Goth gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Goth not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Modry throws a big elbow that misses.
Goth wants to stand and escape but Modry is having none of it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Modry working some strikes from top position.
Modry decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Modry closes the distance and clinches.
Modry has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Goth regains guard immediately.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Modry drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Goth manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Modry has Goth in his guard.
Modry throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Goth knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Modry on the ground.

Szymon Modry has got the better of the ground game so far.

Modry tries to strike from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Goth lands a couple of elbows.
Goth looking to sit in guard and control but Modry gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Modry not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Modry working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Goth is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Goth has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Modry has passed into side control.
Goth gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Modry has hold of Goth's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Goth manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Modry jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Goth manages to avoid the submission attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Modry decides to stand up, so the ref orders Goth to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Szymon Modry showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Goth wants to clinch up but Modry keeps it at a distance.
Goth throws a nice outside leg kick.
Goth tries to clinch there but Modry circles away.
Modry tries to close the distance and clinch but Goth swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Modry will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Goth fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Goth drives through with a takedown into guard.
Goth trying to control the position from guard on top but Modry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Goth is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Modry is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Goth won't allow Modry to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Darrian Goth wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Modry tries for a takedown but Goth circles away easily
and Goth counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Goth.
Modry pulls guard effortlessly.
Goth trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Goth won't allow Modry to get back to his feet.
Modry takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Modry keeping moving, preventing Goth from controlling successfully.
Modry strikes from his own guard.
Goth has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Modry lands a decent punch to the body there.
Goth won't allow Modry to get back to his feet.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Goth is looking to pass into half guard but Modry pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Modry is in guard.

Modry working over Goth with some ground and pound. Goth looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Goth has a hand on Modry's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Modry takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Goth is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Goth is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Modry locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Goth is forced to tap!
