Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Peppu Reiska MacDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jones Zica (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MacDonald kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Placebo - Pure Morning. Zica has chosen Master of Puppets by Metallica as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacDonald moves out of range of the leg kick from Zica.
MacDonald bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
MacDonald misses with a right hand
and Zica counters with a stiff right hand.
Zica displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as MacDonald throws out the jab.

and MacDonald counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Zica looks to land a left hand but MacDonald moved out of range nicely.
A nice leg kick lands there from MacDonald.
Zica looks to score with a jab to the body but MacDonald is just out of range.

Zica rushes MacDonald and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Zica scores with a shot to the side of MacDonald's head.
Zica swings away with an uppercut that misses.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

MacDonald breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Zica is looking to land body kicks.
MacDonald defending well as Zica loads up on a big left hand.
A combination from Zica does no damage.
Zica steps to the side to avoid the strikes from MacDonald.
MacDonald lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Zica throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Zica misses the shot to the body.
MacDonald lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Zica circles away quickly and effectively.
Zica blocks a leg kick.
Zica misses with an uppercut
and MacDonald counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
MacDonald sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Zica is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
MacDonald has hold of Zica's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Zica tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - MacDonald cranks the arm and Zica screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Zica, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Peppu Reiska MacDonald!
Peppu Reiska MacDonald opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
