Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tommy Morrison! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Tommy Fire! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fire misses with a takedown attempt and Morrison counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Morrison circles away from the clinch attempt and Morrison counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Fire shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Morrison but Morrison pushes him off and we're back to square one. Fire with a lazy takedown attempt and Morrison counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Tommy Morrison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Fire. Fire takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Fire takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Fire looks winded! Morrison lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Fire at a distance.
Morrison tests Fire's chin there with a solid looking shot. A clash of legs there as Fire blocks the low kick. Fire gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting Morrison counter with a right hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Fire misses with a takedown attempt and Morrison counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Morrison lands a head kick!
Fire is rocked! Fire with a poor takedown enabling Morrison to counter with a crisp jab. Fire is still on wobbly legs! Can Morrison finish him? Fire on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morrison wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Morrison feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Fire sprawling to the canvas! Fire rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Morrison finish him?!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fire takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Morrison lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Fire tries to keep at a distance but Morrison has taken the fight into the clinch. Morrison lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Morrison softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Morrison scores with a shoulder strike. Fire misses with a punch on the inside.
Morrison lands a right hand that snaps the head of Fire backwards. Fire working hard to break the clinch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Morrison creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morrison lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Morrison scores with a nice hook to the head. Fire looking to throw knees to the head but Morrison is blocking nicely.
Morrison lands a body shot. Fire struggles to land a body shot inside as Morrison controls his hands.
Morrison lands a body punch in the clinch. Fire jumps guard but Morrison turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Morrison lands on the inside with an uppercut. Fire tries a knee to the head but Morrison blocks it.
Morrison is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Morrison lands a body shot. Fire seems to have recovered his senses. A right hand to the body from Morrison.
Morrison scores with an uppercut up the middle. Morrison lands a right hand that snaps the head of Fire backwards. A short right hand to the side of the head by Morrison. Good body shot from Morrison.
Morrison lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Morrison pushes Fire back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Morrison throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Morrison throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Fires head. A shot in the inside from Morrison. Fire has Morrison pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Morrison manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. A shot in the inside from Morrison. Morrison lands with a right to the head. Morrison lands with a short head shot on the inside. Morrison lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Fire backwards. Morrison trying to land knees to the body.
Fire takes a shot to the head. Still in the clinch, Morrison scores with a nice short uppercut. Morrison lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Fire backwards. Morrison pushes Fire back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. A right hand to the body from Morrison.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A short uppercut from Morrison. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Morrison lands on the inside with an uppercut. Morrison scores with an uppercut up the middle. Morrison lands a body punch. Morrison unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Fire! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Morrison is unloading with more strikes now! Fire drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
