The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soturi darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Beamer is trying to get back to full guard.
Soturi is looking to advance position but Beamer won't allow it.
Soturi is looking to take a break and control but Beamer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Beamer throws a leg kick but Soturi sees it coming and moves out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A big strike lands for Soturi! That's really hurt Beamer and he's turned his back - Soturi keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Soturi Jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
