Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rick Cua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Coon Koon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Coon Koon!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cua avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Koon shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Koon content to control rather than advance.
Cua is controlling Koon's trapped leg to prevent Koon from advancing to side control.
Cua wants to get back to full guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Koon in particular looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Coon Koon was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Cua throws a body kick that misses.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Koon enables Cua to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Koon manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Cua avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cua looking to sit in guard and control but Koon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Koon content to stall in guard here.
Koon pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cua is keeping the position for now.
Koon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Cua looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cua is working hard here to advance position.
Cua isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Koon stacks Cua on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Koon!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Koon lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Cua down.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Koon controls the position from side control.
Koon sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Cua is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Koon is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cua has escaped the position, nice work there.
Koon lands a few punches from side control.
Koon stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Koon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Koon tries to clinch but Cua moves out of range.
Koon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Cua trying his best to control but Koon has mounted him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Koon looking to control but Cua is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Koon landing strikes from the mount and Cua is in trouble!

Cua tries to get back to half guard but can't.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Koon looking to finish Cua with some ground and pound. This is bad for Cua!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Coon Koon dominated that round.

Cua misses with a leg kick.
Koon moves in looking to clinch but Cua pushes him off.
Cua throws a leg kick that misses.
Cua walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Koon checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Cua throws a hook to the side of Koon's head but Koon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Cua misses with a low kick.
Cua tries to sprawl but Koon drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Koon stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Koon shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Koon was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Cua tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Koon wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Koon is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Koon stands up.
Cua drives through with a takedown into guard.
Koon wants to stand and escape but Cua is having none of it.
Cua stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Koon swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Koon pulls Cua in close to his closed guard and prevents Cua from doing any damage or advancing position.
Koon is looking to sinch up a triangle. Cua throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Koon's body to avoid the submission. Koon has instead reached around Cua's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Koon arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Coon Koon!
