Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kenji Masato!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dee Gee!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gee tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Masato fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gee sprawls well initially but Masato persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Gee is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gee wants to get back to full guard but Masato has mounted him!
Masato could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Masato avoids the attempt from Gee to control.
Gee is working to get back to half guard.
Gee tries to lock up and control but Masato gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Masato lands a heavy elbow.
Gee is looking to get to half guard.
Masato can't control as he wanted to and Gee manages to get the fight back to his half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gee is staying active underneath Masato, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Gee blocking the ground and pound attempt from Masato.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Masato wants to free his trapped foot but Gee is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Gee is looking to control Masato's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gee avoid being mounted?
Masato is pressing down on Gee's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gee is holding on for now.
Gee keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Gee moves into full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Masato shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Masato showed some decent athleticism there.

Gee is trying to control but can't.
Masato lands strikes from half guard.
Masato is keen to just control but Gee is a slippery customer.
Gee is looking to control Masato's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gee avoid being mounted?
Masato winds up and cracks Gee with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Masato not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Masato stalling.
Gee keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Masato is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kenji Masato wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Masato dives in and grabs Gee's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gee pushes down on Masato's head and hops out.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenji Masato dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Masato is looking to take a break and control but Gee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Masato is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Gee is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kenji Masato!
