Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chuck Norris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcellas Wallace!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Dean Styles and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Wallace closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wallace lands in his opponent's guard.
Wallace throws a strike but Norris rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Norris drops back looking for a leg! Wallace is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wallace manages to kick Norris off! Norris jumps back into Wallace's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wallace can do anything to dispel that myth.

Wallace really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Norris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Norris is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wallace looking for a sweep. Not yet Wallace, not yet.

Wallace is looking for a triangle but Norris pushes his legs off easily.
Norris trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Wallace manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Wallace lands a couple of elbows.
Wallace trying to control the position from guard on top but Norris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Norris bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wallace's guard.

Norris postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wallace is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Norris, into his guard.

Wallace is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Wallace is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Norris doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wallace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcellas Wallace dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Wallace gets a takedown into half guard.
Wallace throws a strike but Norris avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wallace in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Wallace stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Norris swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wallace postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Wallace is looking to work some ground and pound but Norris has wrist control.
Wallace throws an elbow that misses. Norris uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wallace's guard. Nice move by Norris!

Norris drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Wallace dives on top into guard.
Marcellas Wallace has got the better of the ground game so far.

Norris has his foot on Wallace's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wallace works his way back into a safe position though.

Wallace stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Norris has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Wallace manages to get his head free but now Norris has transitioned to an armbar! Wallace grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Norris! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Chuck Norris!
Chuck Norris decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
