Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Chauca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lews Therin Telamon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Columbo Gatti and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chauca keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Chauca shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Chauca was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
You can see the frustration on Telamon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Telamon takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Telamon tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Telamon is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Telamon is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Telamon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Chauca's guard.

Telamon drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Telamon jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Chauca knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Telamon on the ground.

Telamon might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Chauca haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Telamon drops back, looking for a kneebar! Chauca looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Chauca looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Chauca!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lews Therin Telamon dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Telamon throws a hook but Chauca avoids it easily.
Chauca fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Telamon to the ground. Chauca is now in Telamon's guard.
Chauca is looking to stand up but Telamon won't let him.
Chauca has gone for a leg lock! Telamon slips out almost immediately though and dives into Chauca's guard.
Telamon tries to free his leg and advance position but Chauca is retaining full guard.

Chauca is not content to let Telamon control the position.
Telamon is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Chauca has escaped the position, nice work there.

Telamon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chauca keeps working.
Telamon wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Chauca, who protects the arm well.
Chauca is trying to control Telamon's posture but Telamon avoids it.

Chauca tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Telamon wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Chauca is not content to let Telamon control the position.
Telamon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Chauca is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Telamon misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Lews Therin Telamon has got the better of the ground game so far.
Telamon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Telamon goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Chauca has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Telamon but great work by Chauca.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Chauca is nestled in close to Telamon, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Telamon tries to get the hooks in deep but Chauca pushed the leg off.
