Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vigfus Naglason!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Guillaume Mein!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Naglason pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A slow jab from Mein misses its intended target.
Mein has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Mein will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Naglason looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mein avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mein circles away from the clinch attempt

and Mein holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Mein is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Naglason is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Naglason has had enough of the clinch but Mein keeps him there for the moment.
Naglason tries to pull guard but Mein forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Naglason is working for takedown but Mein is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vigfus Naglason. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Naglason is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Mein to keep the fight standing.

Naglason decides to pull guard.
Mein engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Naglason keeping moving, preventing Mein from controlling successfully.
Mein is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Naglason is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Guillaume Mein wasn't active enough on the ground.
Naglason throws a body kick that misses.
Naglason fails with the takedown

and Mein counters with a nice double leg into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Mein stands up from Naglason's guard - Mein perhaps looking for a knockout.

Mein is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Naglason's half guard.
Mein tries to pass the half guard into mount. Naglason knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Mein is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Naglason is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
